Case Studies
Cost Predict
In Development: The SaaS AI Tool to Reduce Cost Overruns for Real Estate Professionals.
What I Am Learning
As UX/UI Lead for this start up app, I have been responsible for all front end design, wireframing, prototyping and more.
Current Project: Under NDA
Peace Learning Center
Revamping existing site, creating marketing & fundraising, designing mobile app.
What I Am Learning
This is a current freelance project for one of the non-profits that responded to my offer when I was doing Case Study 3. I want to continue doing social good using my skills.
They already did some extensive research and being able to have access to that is really great.
Current Freelance Project
Bean Cafe
Designed for my UX Design Certificate from the prompt “a mobile app for a cafe in Tokyo.”
What I Learned
This is the case study that started it all. Going in, I picked a prompt based on my interests not knowing what to expect. Along the way, I faced several challenges based on the vagueness of the prompt and the culture around coffee shops in Japan.
Admittedly, there were times I wondered if I should just choose a new prompt. Instead, I toughed it out and am so glad that I did. It solidified that I still love a challenge and I made the right career pivot.
P.A.W.S.
A responsive website designed for (fictional) Plover Animal Welfare Society to increase adoption rates.
What I Learned
As this is another class project, I went into it with far more freedom than having actual stakeholders to answer to. There are pros and cons to that. We were also given less than half the time we had for our first project to complete this one.
The biggest lesson that I learned was that corners should not be cut. Deadlines should be met, yes, but not at the cost of the integrity of the project. It is better to get it right than just get it done.
